Research Objectives: Genetic improvement through comprehensive breeding for wider adaptability, increased productivity and enhanced tolerance to biotic and abiotic stresses. Crop improvement of cereals, oilseed crops, fiber, vegetables, and other mandate crops. Concentrate on the development of technologies for enhancing per unit area productivity of the farmers.

PABPL is a research driven company and its in-house research division has been recognized by the Department of Science and Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt., of India in the year 2007. The research division is manned by qualified, experienced and well trained scientists and professionals of national  repute. Our research activities are well supported by several trained technicians. The research team has created, developed and collected a very large novel, diverse and exotic germplasm accessions in its mandate crops from various Indian and international sources and institutes.

The company has strong varietal/hybrid development breeding programs and research farm infrastructure is established in Hyderabad with satellite research stations for multi-location testing and rapid seed increase across a varied agro-climatic zones in India. The present focus for the breeders is to develop and identify high yielding products, resistant to biotic and abiotic stresses and that are suitable to Indian seed markets and diverse agro-climatic zones.
