Paturu Agri Biotech Private Limited has been established in the year 2003 and sculptured into a “research-driven” seed company. I started this company as a single man army, with a modest beginning. Now the company completed more than 17 successful years and achieved some notable milestones. We developed a trusted “Support-base” of seed growers, efficient sales network in 13 states of India and also established “State-of-the-art” seed processing and quality testing laboratory within a short span of time. We have a distinctive and well defined focus on introducing newly improved paddy varieties, hybrid rice, maize, millets and vegetables that benefit farmers significantly through higher yields and superior quality produce. In the face of competitions with the perseverance, patience and dedication our Research Scientists, Production team, Processing and Distribution experts have carved out our own niche and achieved a remarkable position in the seed industry. Our in-house research and development wing has been recognized by the Ministry of Science and Technology through its Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) New Delhi, India. PABPL is also an ISO 9001 – 2015 certified Company.
India stands in 5th position of the global seed market with an average growth of 15 – 17% per annum. The demand for superior hybrids and improved varieties with stable yields and tolerant to biotic and abiotic stresses will continue. Seed replacing rate (SSR) is also increasing in our county with the realized income and profitability by the farmers. Our Country has strong potential in scientific professionals, skilled technicians, diversified seed production ecologies and market opportunities.
To ensure consistent seed quality, we formulated Total Quality Management (TQM) procedures, excellent seed production systems and state of art Supply chain operations to cater the needs of our farming community. We test newly developed products at reputed SAUs. RARS and other Institutions before releasing for commercial cultivation.
In our 17 years of journey we achieved a strong and visualized identity in the industry, which represents the values set by Paturu Seeds. PABPL is one of the largest varietal paddy seed producers in India with an annual output of 12000 MT seeds spread over 9000 acres of seed production. Currently partners with over 8000 seed grower, who produce various seeds on behalf of the company. We provide the quality seed to farmers through our extensive marketing network of 7 C&F agents, approximately 500 distributors and over 2000 dealers spread across 13 states of our country. The focused initiatives practiced by the company has helped millions of farmers to get high quality seeds at a lower price.
